milk and honey - The London Launch
We co-hosted the first London book launch of Rupi Kaur’s ‘milk and honey’ with Vir of London. The evening was a sold-out event that featured a curated exhibition of South Asian female visual artists alongside a reading and book signing by Amazon best-selling author, Rupi Kaur. Across several meetings and events, we were able to spend a short but sweet time with three incredible BROWNGIRLS from Canda: Rupi Kaur, Kiran Rai aka. KayRay and Keerat Kaur, collectively known as 'trïphul'.
“I walked into the Rag Factory for rehearsal a few hours before the show and a wave of humility washed over me. In front of me was a team of organizers and volunteers, working hard at preparing the space for the evening. Fermenting it with grace and love. Framing beautiful pieces of art. Tying together garlands of flowers. The memory of that evening makes me smile each time. Thank you to the organizers, Vir of London and Two Brown Girls - you produce one heck of a show.”
